Being responsible for elder adult family members, children and/or pets can sometimes make it tricky to achieve work life balance. MSU’s network of supportive programs and agencies is helpful in managing dependent care challenges.
The Mississippi State University Extension Service captures an array of state and local services for senior adults. Resources for caregivers and contact information for agencies providing social services to older adults are provided. The local Area Agency on Aging provides many of these services to our seniors as well as temporary relief services for caregivers.
Locally, the Senior Enrichment Center is open Monday– Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is located inside the Golden Triangle Planning and Development District, Inc. (GTPDD) office building, located at 106 Miley Road in Starkville.
